3 Things You Must Know for ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarships

ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarships are awarded by Nanyang Technological University (NTU) to citizens or permanent residents from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) except Singapore. These Singapore scholarships [ทุน สิงค์ โป ร์, Which is the term in Thai] are for students from ASEAN Countries, China, and India. Students will get this opportunity to develop their knowledge and career in the world.

 

Eligibility Criteria

 

Check the eligibility of the students for this scholarship.

 

  • Permanent resident of Singapore or a citizen of ASEAN countries (excluding Singapore).
  • Successful awardees must read a full-time undergraduate degree program that excludes the Renaissance Engineering program toward the first degree. For the Biomedical Sciences and Chinese Medicine programs, the scholarship will cover only the first three years of study at NTU.
  • Outstanding Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ level holder, Diploma awarded by a Polytechnic in Singapore, NUS High School Diploma, IB Diploma or equivalent qualification of Year 12, and excellent co-curricular record.

 

The benefit of this scholarship

 

This scholarship covers the duration of the normal program provided that the scholarship holder maintains a record of good academic performance and exemplary conduct.

 

  • Full coverage of subsidized tuition fees (after tuition grant).
  • Living allowance of S$5,800 per academic year.
  • Housing allowance of S$3,000 per academic year.
  • One-off computer allowance of S$1,750.

 

Terms & Conditions

 

Students must be aware of the terms and conditions of this scholarship.

 

  • The scholarship holder must not hold any other scholarship, bursary or university loan at the same time without the approval of the university.
  • Scholarship holders must participate in the Community Involvement Program run by the Student Affairs Office as part of your scholarship bond obligation.
  • Scholarship holders must maintain a minimum incremental grade point average (CGPA) of 3.5 out of 5.0. Academic performance will be reviewed every semester.
  • According to the university, the scholarship may be revoked at any time if the progress or behavior of the scholarship holder is considered unsatisfactory.
